AIMS Workshop: Focus on Birth without Bias

Cost: £30 (AIMS + Doula UK members) / £40 (non members)

Join us for an interactive online AIMS workshop "Focus on Birth Without Bias" with Hannah King, midwife and professional doctorate student who is examining the contribution of racism on maternal mortality.

This is a two-hour introductory antiracism workshop for those caring for maternity healthcare service users. The topics to be discussed include:

  • medical racism
  • antiracism theory
  • cultural safety
  • white privilege

The ticket price includes an £8 voucher for the AIMS shop so you can buy the book of your choice (or some notelets, a bag or a mug if you prefer.)

Potentially valuable CPD for midwives and students, NCT practitioners etc.

We are offering two free place for student midwives on each of our workshops, and we would also like to offer reduced price tickets to anyone who would find the full amount difficult to afford. Please email admin@aims.org.uk with your details including the workshop you would like to attend.
