Presenting the MBRRACE-UK 'Saving Lives, Improving Mothers' Care' Report 2020

At this virtual conference we will present the findings of the 7th MBRRACE-UK report of Saving Lives, Improving Mothers' Care: findings of the surveillance of maternal mortality in the UK 2016-18 and lessons learned to inform maternity care from the UK and Ireland Confidential Enquiries into Maternal Death and Morbidity 2016-2018.

The causes of maternal deaths covered in this report are deaths from:

  • Sepsis
  • Haemorrhage
  • Neurological causes including epilepsy and stroke
  • Anaesthesia and anaesthesia related care
  • Indirect medical causes

We also conducted a morbidity enquiry and will present the findings of the review of care of women with pulmonary embolism who survived.
