AIMS (Association for Improvements in the Maternity Services), ARM (the Association of Radical Midwives) and Birthrights are jointly calling for action in the light of the tragic deaths of Jennifer and Agnes Cahill, to make homebirths - already the safest option for many - even safer in all cases.
Please see our open letter that we have sent to those addressed in the coroner’s Prevention of Future Deaths report, asking them to support our suggested list of actions to ensure that homebirths will in future be safely supported.
If you would like more information about the evidence for the safety of homebirth, the human right to choice of birthplace or the current issues with lack of properly resourced support for homebirths please contact:

Tell us if you'd like to add your support for our letter.
