AIMS Workshop: Monthly Self Care Space

When: 8th April 2026 to 8th July 2026
Venue: Online
Cost: This is a free event, however please consider making a donation to AIMS .

AIMS is delighted to be hosting a Monthly Self Care space delivered by Ruth Weston, veteran birth activist, AIMS volunteer and author of 'Born Stroppy Make Change Happen'.

This is Ruth's explanation of the sessions:

"In my book Born Stroppy I talk about riding three horses with one backside: our paid work, our roles as family carers, our campaign or representational roles addressing the inequalities and injustices within maternity. This takes a toll on our wellbeing and many of us are in danger of giving beyond our means. And so I am offering AIMS members and friends the opportunity to very gently address the balance with this monthly space for self care with guided kindness meditation. We work so hard because we care so much and so we need a space for self-care and self-kindness."
